PageOne vs SE Ranking for small business
SE Ranking's entry plan is now $129 a month, after a 2025 change that folded content and local tools into every plan. PageOne covers much of the same ground for a single business, with smaller limits, from $19.99.
The short answer
Pick SE Ranking if you run SEO for several sites or clients and need daily rank tracking at volume: its $129 Core plan tracks 2,000 keywords daily across 10 projects, with unlimited research. Pick PageOne if you're one business that wants the same kinds of tools (posts, rank checks, your Business Profile, and a Maps grid) at a size and price that fit, from $19.99 a month.
On features, these two are closer than most tools we compare. The real differences are scale and price: SE Ranking's limits are many times higher, and so is the bill.
Which one fits you?
Pick SE Ranking if…
- You manage 3 or more sites, or do SEO for clients
- You need rankings updated daily, not weekly
- You track hundreds or thousands of keywords
- You want unlimited keyword, competitor, and backlink research
- You need full white-label for an agency (Agency Pack, $69 a month, billed yearly)
Pick PageOne if…
- You're one business, maybe with a few service areas
- A weekly rank check is enough to see what's working
- $129 a month is more than your whole marketing tool budget
- You want a free plan, not a 14-day trial
- You run WordPress and want the dashboard inside wp-admin
Side by side: the entry plans.
SE Ranking Core against PageOne Individual. PageOne Enterprise ($59.99 a month) raises PageOne's limits further.
PageOne checks rankings every Sunday. Individual's 100 monthly checks cover 25 keywords a week, and each check also records the positions of the competitors you watch.
What a year costs.
Billed monthly. Even PageOne's top plan costs less than half of SE Ranking's entry plan.

PageOne Enterprise
PageOne Individual
Paying yearly brings SE Ranking Core to $1,238.40. Its AI Search add-on is $89 a month, and white-label reporting needs the $69-a-month Agency Pack, billed yearly.

- Service and location pages built in your saved colors and fonts
- Social posts for Facebook, Instagram, and X from a blog link or a keyword
- A daily briefing that tells you what moved and what to do today
- Branded client reports included, without an add-on

Questions people ask before switching.
Is PageOne cheaper than SE Ranking?
Yes. PageOne Individual is $19.99 a month and PageOne Enterprise is $59.99. SE Ranking Core is $129 a month, or $103.20 a month billed yearly.
Why do some reviews say SE Ranking costs $65 a month?
Those describe its older plans. In 2025 SE Ranking replaced its Essential, Pro, and Business plans with Core and Growth, and moved its content and local marketing tools into every plan.
Do both write and publish content?
Yes. SE Ranking includes 25 AI articles a month on Core and can publish to WordPress. PageOne drafts 16 to 35 posts a month depending on plan and publishes to WordPress on a schedule, or works inside wp-admin through its plugin.
Which is better for an agency?
SE Ranking, if you manage many client sites and want white-label tools. PageOne can switch between client accounts and sends branded reports, but its limits are sized for one business per plan.
Do I need daily rank tracking?
Most small businesses don't. Rankings for local service searches rarely move enough day to day to act on, and a weekly check shows the trend. Daily tracking matters more when you run many sites or need to react to changes quickly.
Can I try them first?
SE Ranking has a 14-day trial with no card. PageOne has a free plan that needs no card.
